Kamari Lassiter Tabbed as Potential First Rounder Entering 2023

ESPN NFL Draft Analyst Jordan Reid recently published his early first-round predictions for the 2024 draft and lists three Georgia players being selected in the first round.
One of those players is Kamari Lassiter, the junior cornerback from Savannah, GA. Lassiter has played a pivotal role in the last two title seasons. Last season, he tallied 38 total tackles, with five resulting in a loss, but he still hasn't reached his full potential.
Reid notes how Lassiter's "patience in press coverage and footwork" could improve. But he also added how Lassiter looks primed for a breakout year this season. With Kelee Ringo gone, the leadership role of the CB room is up for grabs.
Reid has the Jacksonville Jaguars selecting him 26th overall, with "depth" being the main reason. The Jaguars have seemingly only two reliable corners in former Bulldog Tyson Campbell and Darius Williams. Lassiter would mesh well with Campbell, who would allow him to feel more comfortable in the Jags system quicker.
Lassiter was often praised a year ago by head coach Kirby Smart for his physical nature, referring to the 5'11, 190-pound corner as his "best tackler" on a national title defense.
