Kirby Smart Updates Injury Report Heading into Game Two

Following a week one win against UT Martin, Kirby Smart updates Georgia’s injury report before Ball State.

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart met with the media on Monday for his usual press conference. He spoke about the season opener against UT Martin, previewed the upcoming matchup with Ball State, and updated the injury report. 

Georgia Football Injury Report 9/4

  • Running back Daijun Edwards DNP in Saturday's season opener, Smart said "We feel like Daijun could have played in that game. He's actually had this injury before. We feel good about him. 
  • EJ Lightsay "My mind went blank, but he's had some shoulder. He's been dealing with some pain, we are trying to get him back." 
  • Ladd: "He's day to day. We thought he might have been able to go last week, was a game-time decision and we held him out because he had back pain on Friday." 
  • Kendall Milton (Hamstring) "Kendall's dying to get out there man, he loves this program and it kills him to not be out there and he's not been able to practice during camp due to his injury. So, now are dealing with how to keep him warm. He doesn't have camp stamina. He couldn't get himself in playing shape just in camp."

Georgia Football Injury Report - 9/2

  • Running backs Daijun Edwards (knee) and Kendall Milton (Hamstring) both return to practice in full this week. They will be available on Saturday. How much they play is subject to Saturday.
  • Linebacker Smael Mondon (foot) returned to practice in a non-contact this week, Kirby Smart mentioned he reached top speeds again and has done everything they've asked (QUESTIONABLE)
  • Lawson Luckie (ankle) had tightrope surgery to repair a high-ankle sprain, will be back soon but will be OUT on Saturday.
  • Joenel Aguero (Hamstring) - Questionable
  • Branson Robinson (KNEE) will be out for the remainder of the season
