Georgia Lands Running Back From Transfer Portal

Georgia lands their second player out of the transfer portal as former Florida running back Trevor Etienne.

The 2023 Georgia football season has come to a close with the 27 to 24 loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide, at least the 2023 version of the roster. With the loss, there will be inevitable NFL Draft Declarations, impending NCAA Transfer Portal entries, and roster movement unlike you've probably seen at this point in the season for the Bulldogs.

This time though, it's more good news as the Bulldogs have landed former Florida running back Trevor Etienne out of the transfer portal. He spent the last two seasons with the Gators where we racked up 1,472 rushing yards, 15 total touchdowns and averaged 5.9 yards per carry. 

This is a big-time addition for Georgia's roster as they dealt with some depth issues at running back in 2023, and Etienne being added into the mix will help protect the roster. Of course, the former Florida running back is immensely talented as well and will most likely be a major contributor on offense for the Bulldogs as well.

• WR Jackson Meeks has announced that he will enter the transfer portal with one year of eligibility left
• Jonathan Jefferson has announced he will transfer to SMU.
• EDGE, Darris Smith - Made transfer intentions known before the portal officially opened. Will transfer to the Missouri Tigers.
