Georgia Opens as Betting Favorite Over Auburn

The Georgia Bulldogs remain on top of the college football rankings after moving to 4-0 and defeating the UAB Blazers by a final score of 49-21. Georgia will play the Auburn Tigers in week five for their second conference matchup of the season and their first road game of the year.

Coming into this week, the Bulldogs have been tabbed as a 17-point favorite over the Auburn Tigers, according to Action Network. The over/under has also been set at 46.5 points.

For the most part, the Bulldogs have favored well against the Tigers under Kirby Smart. They have won six straight over their cross-division rival, with their last loss coming during the 2017 regular season at Auburn. Over those six wins, the average margin of victory for the Bulldogs was 20.3 points. The Tigers have only managed to win one game out of the last ten meetings against Georgia.

Georgia is also coming off of a big win against UAB as the Bulldogs' win on Saturday night inside Sanford Stadium, Coach Smart has eclipsed 100 football games, winning 86 of them. Saturday night's 86th win in 100 games makes Kirby Smart's start to his head coaching career the highest winning percentage through 100 games in conference history.
