Georgia vs Florida: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

The Georgia Bulldogs have defeated the Florida Gators in dominating fashion, so here is the good, the bad, and the ugly from the game.

The Georgia Bulldogs dominate the Florida Gators as they improve to 8-0 on the season and maintain their top spot in the eastern division of the SEC. It is Georgia's third straight win over the Gators, and the program improves to 6-2 over Florida with Kirby Smart as their head coach.

So after Georgia's big-time win over the Gators, here is the good, the bad and the ugly from the game:

Good: Offense Keeps Rolling

Despite not having star tight end Brock Bowers today, the Bulldogs managed to keep the offense on track today. Georgia put up over 40 points over the Gators and several Bulldogs stepped up on offense to help keep the offense rolling. Ladd McConkey had a big day as he finished with six receptions, 135 yards and a touchdown.

Quarterback Carson Beck also had a great day through the air, even without his top target, as he finished with 315 passing yards and two touchdowns. Many were eager to see how Georgia would fare without a player like Bowers impacting the offense, and after today, it looks like the Bulldogs will be just fine until he returns.

Bad: Allowed 20 Points

Most defenses would be content with allowing 20 points throughout the game, but not Georgia's. Florida managed to score a late touchdown in the game after Georgia had already secured the win, but nonetheless, a score is a score. It's nitpicking to complain about Georgia allowing three scores, but in a game where Georgia took over very early in the football game, there is only so much bad that could have happened.

Ugly: First Drive Score

Teams have not found much success against Georgia's defense, but when they do, it's typically on the first drive of the game. Florida managed to pick up one of their three scores on the first drive of the game. The Bulldogs have managed to keep offenses fairly quiet afterward, but letting offenses jump out in front early in football games may not be a recipe for success later on down the road.

All in all, it was a great game all around for the Bulldogs, and the more important thing is that they managed to remain undefeated for nine weeks through the college football season.
