Georgia and Ohio State Announce Home and Home Series Starting in 2030

The Georgia Bulldogs and Ohio State Buckeyes have announced they will begin a home and home series beginning in 2030.
This coming just a couple of days after Ohio State debuted at number one in the College Football Playoff, the two will square off in a highly anticipated matchup in a little over a decade.
The two programs have played once, in 1993 Georgia defeated the Buckeyes 21-14 in the Citrus Bowl. The Bulldogs won that game behind the MVP performance of running back Garrison Hearst who had two touchdowns in the contest.
There's no telling where the two programs will be, Kirby Smart will presumably still be the head coach at Georgia, though there really is no telling. Though one thing is for certain, it will be one of the most highly anticipated non-conference games of the year.
The Georgia Bulldogs will travel to Ohio State in 2031, then The Buckeyes will play between the hedges in 2030.
Some Georgia fans will remember that there was a deal all the way back in 2012 for these two programs to play that ultimately fell through after Ohio State backed out of the agreement, according to Georgia's athletic director Greg McGarity.
This matchup would be ever the more entertaining if somehow they could move it up to say maybe this year or next. Could you imagine Justin Fields, the highest-ranked Georgia quarterback commit ever, coming back to Athens to face off against the Dawgs? Georgia fan's head might explode. I mean could you imagine the pandemonium? Perhaps Ohio State will scoop up a departed 5-star in 2029 prior to the highly anticipated matchup.
Georgia now adds Ohio State alongside Oklahoma as a powerhouse, blue blood programs that they will be playing over the next decade or so. Something Georgia fans greatly appreciate and should pay dividends in future playoff polls.
