Georgia Players to Watch for Against Auburn

Here are a couple of Bulldog names you should keep an eye out for this Saturday for Georgia's game against Auburn.

"The Deep South's Oldest Rivalry", a matchup between Georgia and Auburn will have its 120th edition this Saturday when the No.1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs travel to Jordan-Haire Stadium to take on the Auburn Tigers.

Ladd McConkey

Ladd McConkey will be a massive name to watch this Saturday not because he is likely to make a substantial impact on the game (though he is more than skilled enough to do so) but because the amount of reps and plays that the receiver takes will be an indicator as to how healthy he is.

McConkey has been battling a back injury that has prevented him from playing thus far. While it is unsure as to whether or not he will even play Saturday, his workload will be a massive indicator as to when the Bulldogs' speedy receiver will be back to full health.

Daijun Edwards

As the leading back in what is an uncommonly thin room, Daijun Edwards has been the main driving force behind Georgia's success in the run game this season. Edwards will be a crucial part of establishing the Bulldogs running game and taking the pressure off of Carson Beck. Who will be making the first road start of his career.

Jamon Dumas-Johnson

Dumas-Johnson (or pop) has received some criticism this season for his level of play and will have a great opportunity to silence his doubters against an Auburn offense that relies heavily on the run game. Look for the 2022 Butkus Award finalist to have a massive game on Saturday.

Brock Bowers

I mean come on... It's Brock Bowers.

Xavier Truss

Truss was moved from guard to tackle during the South Carolina game to replace the injured Amarius Mims and has done an impressive job in his new role up to this point. He will, however, be facing his toughest opponent this Saturday when he faces Auburn's highly talented defensive line.

Warren Brinson

Stopping the run begins with the play of an interior defensive lineman. Warren Brinson has shown he is more than talented enough to become "the next great" player in this position. Look for him to make a massive difference against an Auburn offense that relies heavily on the run.
