Jalen Carter Already Looking Like the "Best Player in the Draft"

Early in Eagles training camp, former Georgia defensive tackle Jalen Carter is earning rave reviews from sources within the organization.

In April's NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles used the No. 9 pick to select former Georgia defensive tackle Jalen Carter. Carter was regarded by many as the most talented prospect in the 2023 NFL draft class, but a rocky pre-draft process caused the former Georgia star to drop down on draft boards around the league. However, early returns out of Philadelphia's training camp indicate that Carter is proving why scouts were so high on him in the first place.

Just two days into the Eagles training camp, sources are already raving about Carter's ability. In fact, one source within the organization has already seen enough to claim the Eagles got the steal of the NFL Draft.

"He regularly beats world-class vets and its hard not to think we didn't get the best player in the draft."

While it is still early in training camp and the pads have yet to come on, Carter has made quite the first impression. If that trend continues, the former Bulldog will force those teams that chose to pass on him to answer some very uncomfortable questions.
