BREAKING: Julian Lewis Makes College Commitment Decision

The No. 1 quarterback and player in the nation in the class of 2026, Julian Lewis has committed to the USC Trojans and head coach Lincoln Riley.

The nation's number one player and quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class, Julian Lewis has announced that he will be playing his college football for the USC Trojans and head coach Lincoln Riley.

The sudden commitment announcement comes as a bit of a shock to most in the recruitment industry as Lewis has just played his second game of his sophomore career at Carrolton High School here in the state of Georgia. He's arguably the most highly-touted quarterback prospect the state has seen since Trevor Lawrence and he will be playing his college football out west, for now.

Georgia will continue to recruit Lewis most likely. We recently interviewed Lewis during the summer to see where he stood with the Bulldogs. Georgia was rarely considered the favorite in this recruitment here. It was always presumed that Lewis would ultimately end up playing for an air-raid specialist, like the one he plays for now in Joey King at Carrolton. Though Georgia would likely have altered offense for such at talent.

We spoke to Lewis recently about his developing relationship with offensive coordinator Mike Bobo.

"I mean, [Bobo] seems like a like a good guy. You know just trying to build the same relationship I have with Coach Monken or better. Hopefully, he stays a little bit longer than Coach Monken did, but yeah, I'm talking to Coach Bobo. I've met coach Bobo's son and stuff like that. My main thing right now is just trying to build our relationship off the field like not talking about football stuff and see who I connect with."

As for what comes to mind when Lewis thinks about Georgia, he said, "They're known for defense recently like before last year, they were like a no throw, we're gonna pound the ball, beat you down your throat. Last year they aired it out. That was with Coach Monken, but they said they're planning on doing the same thing this year."
