Ladd McConkey Injury - Star Receiver Set to Miss Third Game to Start the Season

Georgia wide receiver Ladd McConkey will not play for the third straight home game to start the season.

Georgia wide receiver Ladd McConkey will not play for the third straight home game to start the season. The junior wide receiver has missed the first three games of the season with what Kirby Smart calls a day-to-day back injury. He also stated this week when updating the injury report that McConkey experienced issues with a similar injury a year ago.

McConkey finished the 2022 season with 762 yards receiving, with 896 yards of total offense, and 9 total TDs on the year. He entered the year expected to be one of, if not the, primary receiving target for this Georgia offensive squad.

Georgia is an otherwise relatively healthy football team. They are expected to be at "full-strength" at the running back position with Daijun Edwards returning Satruday against South Carolina.

  • Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins (foot) - Was seen in a boot on Saturday, non-weight barring and with a scooter.

  • Lawson Luckie (ankle) had tightrope surgery to repair a high-ankle sprain, TBD.
  • Branson Robinson (KNEE) will be out for the remainder of the season

Georgia defensive tackle Christen Miller has exited the contest vs Ball State with what appeared to be a lower-body injury. He was able to walk off on his own, though he did enter the injury tent. Smart said on Monday that Miller has returned to action.
