Dawgs Daily is here in Nashville, Tennessee, for this week's slate of SEC Media Days. Coaches and players from all 14 teams in the conference will be taking the podium this week to speak about the upcoming season and to provide a glimpse of what this year has in store for their program prior to the 2023 college football season being kicked off.

SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey, LSU, Texas A&M, and Missouri were the first ones up on the schedule for Monday to get things rolling. LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels was one of the players at the event representing the Tigers' football program and was asked to talk about a play from the 2022 SEC Championship game. More specifically, the moment when former Georgia defensive lineman Jalen Carter lifted the LSU quarterback off the ground while celebrating a sack.

Here is what Daniels had to say about the play:

"I mean, Jalen Carter is a great player. He got underneath me, I already had a bum ankle so there really wasn't much I could do. He lifted me up and took me up in one hand and there wasn't much I could do at that point. I was worried about my ankle at that point because it was hurting a lot, but {Carter} is a great player and he made a big-time play."

Carter would go on to be a first-round draft pick during this year's NFL draft along with two of his other former teammates. He was selected ninth overall by the Philadelphia Eagles, and many considered him to be the best defensive player in the class and one of the most dominant college football players during his time in Athens.

LSU head coach Brian Kelly led the Tigers to a division title and a conference championship game berth in his first year with the program after leaving Notre Dame. After coming up short against the Bulldogs in the title game, LSU now looks to defend their division title with Daniels returning for another season as the team's starter.
