Making the Case: Why Each Quarterback Should Earn the Start For Georgia

The Georgia Bulldogs are currently in the midst of an intense quarterback battle. Here are the reasons why each quarterback should get the start.

By now, it isn't a secret that The Georgia Bulldogs are currently in the middle of a very high-profile quarterback battle. A battle which according to many, is between three highly-talented signal callers, each with a different set of skills.

As Georgia's fall camp chugs along and the quarterback picture becomes more clear. Here at DawgsDaily, we decided to make a case as to why each quarterback should earn the start for the Bulldogs come September.

Carson Beck

Carson Beck becoming the next Georgia quarterback arguably makes the most sense for the Bulldogs. The Senior has patiently waited for his turn behind others and has the most in-game experience out of any QB on the roster.

Along with his higher experience, Beck also seems to be the most efficient with the football. His decision-making skills and understanding of the offense are extremely strong, and his arm strength is among the best in the country.

If Georgia is looking for a guy who knows the offense, takes care of the football, and is excellent at dishing the ball out to highly talented playmakers, then Beck is the guy for the job.

Brock Vandagriff

Brock Vandagriff is perhaps the most athletic quarterback currently on Georgia's roster. The junior's ability to use his feet and extend plays gives him the ability to add massive stress on any defense (a skill that made Stetson Bennett so dynamic during his time at Georgia).

But despite Vandagriff's noticeable ability to run, his arm strength is no weakness. The quarterback has more than enough throwing power to make almost any pass needed.

If Georgia wants a quarterback that has the ability to turn something out of nothing and will put extra pressure on any defensive coordinator in the run game, then Brock Vandagriff deserves the start.

Gunner Stockton

Gunner Stockton is somewhat of a hybrid of the other two quarterbacks. He has displayed an above-average ability to run the football but has also shown he is an adequate passer as well. The young quarterback put both of these skills on display during the Bulldogs "G-Day" scrimmage earlier this year.

If a balanced rushing attack along with an ability to competently run Mike Bobo's offense is what the Bulldogs are looking for during the 2023 season. Then Gunner Stockton should be the Bulldogs' starting quarterback come September.

Each of the Bulldogs' quarterbacks will continue to make their case to be the starter as Georgia continues with its fall camp. The starter (whoever it may be) of the Bulldogs' 2023 season will likely be announced sometime around their first official game on Sept. 2 against UT Martin.
