Objectives for Georgia Football Heading Into Fall Camp

After a long offseason littered with talking points, roster movements, and recruiting updates. The Georgia Bulldogs are finally set to start their fall camp for the 2023 season. This year, the Bulldogs will be attempting to make history and become the first team of the modern college football era to win three straight national titles. But in order to do that, they will likely need to accomplish these things during fall camp.

1. Stay Healthy

Injuries can hinder any team's chances of winning and completely upend a season. While Georgia has thrived the past seasons in spite of their injuries, it will be crucial that the Dawgs avoid losing any key players during fall camp. Especially with the number of new contributors this season

2. Acclimate New Faces Into the Offense

One of the cornerstones of Georgia's offensive success under former offensive coordinator Todd Monken was the Bulldogs' understanding of concepts and overall chemistry. With a new offensive coordinator in Mike Bobo and a litany of fresh faces on this year's offensive unit, it will be imperative that the new Bulldogs recreate similar connections before the regular season comes.

3. Resolve the Quarterback Battle

One of the most important components of acclimating new faces and developing chemistry on an offensive unit comes from the quarterback. While many experts believe that the quarterback battle between Carson Beck and Brock Vandagriff has long been decided. Kirby Smart has yet to officially name the starting quarterback for the Bulldogs 2023. Resolving the quarterback battle will not only allow whoever earns the starting role to take as many first-team reps as possible. But will also likely relieve a lot of unwanted attention around the program.

Georgia will unsurprisingly be one of the best teams in the country this year and will have an excellent chance at making college football history come the 2023 season. But as coach Smart would say "What's important now" is completing these objectives and ensuring that the Bulldogs are ready to take on the challenges that lie ahead.

The Bulldogs will begin their 2023 season when Georgia hosts the UT-Martin Skyhawks on September 2, at 6 p.m. Odds for this matchup have not been provided yet.
