RECAP: Damn Good Dawgs from Georgia's 55-0 win over Arkansas State

After a Saturday filled with highlight runs and a ton of points, we at The Bulldog Maven thought there wasn't a better time to unveil the first edition of our new weekly article, Damn Good Dawgs.
We've had our experts put a list of guys together that stud out to us during Saturday's 55-0 win over Arkansas State.
We will start with Jamey Goodman:
The player that stood out to me this week was Jake Fromm. For me, Jake didn't have his best stuff on Saturday. Primarily his deep ball and that's actually why I picked him.
Even when he's a little off, he does so many other things at a high level. Jake is the only QB I've seen this year only gotten about 60% of his team's reps. We've been able to bring in his backups very early. That's great from a safety standpoint but I can't be convinced that he wouldn't be even better with more live-action reps to build better timing with his receivers.
None the less he still performs. His ability to get us in the right play consistently may be his biggest weapon. Not to mention that when he delivers the ball there is hardly any risk involved. He just doesn't turn it over very often.
Saturday, Jake once against passed the torch to Stetson and Co. early in the 3rd but still managed to put up impressive numbers. Jake finished the game going 17/22 and 279 yards an avg of 12.7 yards per attempt. Not to mention he found the endzone on 3 occasions. Once again, Jake was a general out there. We are so used to what he provides that all of this can easily get overlooked. Not this time. Jake Fromm is my Damn Good Dawg of the week.
Next up, Brent Wilson:
I have to go with Lewis Cine for this week. While he didn’t start, Cine made a name for himself on Saturday by causing the game’s lone turnover. The interception also solidified Georgia’s chances of shutting out Arkansas State.
Cine proved himself in coverage while also showing off his fundamental tackling skills. Georgia fans can rest assured knowing that Cine will step in and be ready when it is time for J.R. Reed and Richard LeCounte III to leave UGA. My Damn Good Dawg, Lewis Cine.
Jordan Jackson couldn't narrow it to just one... and why should he?
My Damn Good Dawg on offense this week, is freshman wide receiver, Dominick Blaylock. The 6'1 195 pound freshman is the son of former Atlanta Hawks points guard Mookie Blaylock, so he definitely has an athletic pedigree.
Blaylock is starting to make more and more of an impact for the Bulldogs offense. He had his breakout game for the Dawgs in week two against the Murray State Racers, catching three passes for 48 yards and scoring his first NCAA touchdown.
Dominick Blaylock followed up his week two performance with an even more impressive encore against Arkansas State. He got the party started on the first play of the second quarter. Blaylock ran a five-yard out route on third and two, raced past the primary defender and turned on the jets for a 60-yard touchdown.
Dominick finished with four catches for 112 yards, marking his first career 100-yard receiving the game. However, it certainly won't be his last. If he continues to progress at this rate, another such output will come sooner than later. The group of Dominick Blaylock, George Pickens, Matt Landers, Lawrence Cager, and Tyler Simmons, are quickly eliminating concerns about the wide receiver position, that the Georgia Bulldogs had entered the season.
Defensive tackle Tyler Clark is my Damn Good Dawg for week three, on the defensive side of the football. The senior and Americus, Georgia native was a one-man wrecking crew, for the second consecutive week.
Clark made a living in the Arkansas State backfield collecting 1.5 sacks. He impressively tied for the team lead in total tackles with five, a rare feat for a 300 pound, three-technique.
Nothing disrupts the flow of an offense more than penetration and pressure up the middle, and Tyler Clark is certainly providing that. His play is making it difficult for teams to run the football up the middle against the Dawgs.
Clark teaming with Jordan Davis inside as the first line of a stout run defense is allowing the Bulldogs edge rushers to tee off. He also aids the team's pass rush, by taking away the opposing team's ability to step up in the pocket.
And finally, Brooks Austin:
My Damn Good Dawg for week three's matchup against Arkansas State has to be Lawrence Cager. Cager got his first career touchdown as a Georgia Bulldog, bringing his career total to 11.
But that's not why Cager makes this list in my opinion, it's his selflessness in the run game, springing multiple big runs Saturday with his key downfield blocks.
On James Cook's 37-yard TD run in the second quarter, it was Cager who had his man on his back in the endzone. Lawrence Cager gets my vote for Damn Good Dawg this week.
