The vegas betting line for Saturday's matchup in Athens featuring the (2-3) South Carolina Gamecocks and the (5-0) Georgia Bulldogs at one point got as high as Georgia -25, settled to a modest -23 and is currently at -24.5

Will Muschamp's team travels down to the Classic City coming off a bye week, and a recent victory over Kentucky. South Carolina ended a five-year streak of losses to the Wildcats.

Here's how our experts see the game playing out:

Hunter Gosseck (Georgia Wins 48-17)

Ryan Hilinksi put together a solid performance against Bama throwing for 324 yards with 2 touchdowns and 1 INT, so it stands to reason he could put up some impressive numbers against Georgia. Hilinski has had moments since taking over as QB1 for the Gamecocks, following the Bentley injury. I look for the South Carolina defensive line vs. the Georgia offensive line to be a sneaky good match-up but I don’t think that will last all game.

The Bulldogs will lean on South Carolina and impose their will as the game progresses. Look for Hilinski to show some flashes but expect the talented Georgia secondary to make it difficult for him to find consistency. I look for UGA to involve play-makers like James Cook in this game and of course, Swift and Co. will gash the Gamecock run defense. Fromm puts together another gem as the Bulldogs coast to 6-0 and cover the spread. Georgia 48, South Carolina 17

Jamey Goodman (Georgia Wins 39-13)

South Carolina comes to Athens this Saturday, fresh off of a bye week. That extra week could allow for some unsustainable early success, much like what we saw against Tennessee. However, the far superior Bulldogs lead the Gamecocks in all major offensive and defensive categories. Look for a replay of last week in this one. A scrappy team that learns rather quickly that they're outmanned and overmatched. I'm taking the Dawgs in Athens 39-13.

Georgia HC, Kirby Smart

Brent Wilson (Georgia Wins 45-17)

Considering the Gamecocks have had two weeks to prepare for this game, I expect this one to stay close, but only for a quarter or so. Georgia might have to make a few adjustments at half time, but the Bulldogs will eventually have everything clicking and run away with this one.

The key to this game will be getting pressure from guys like Azeez Ojulari and Walter Grant on Ryan Hilinski to get him off of his game. If the Bulldogs keep the pressure on him, Georgia will be able to win this by a large margin. Dawgs cover, 45-17

Brooks Austin (Georgia Wins 42-14)

When I first picked this game during our season predictions piece back in late July I was honestly expecting to be facing Jake Bentley and a South Carolina team that at least warranted victory over a North Carolina squad that was (2-9) last season.

Not so fast, the Gamecocks come to town hoasting a (2-3) record and a freshman QB by the name of Ryan Hilinksi that Kirby Smart and staff were recruiting heavily this time last season to be the heir apparent to Jake Fromm.

Despite the game being a noon kick, Sanford Stadium will be the toughest place Hilinski has played in during his rookie campaign. The defense gets pressure and forces a few turnovers, Georgia remains steady and consistent on offense with a few new splash plays thrown in. Dawgs big, 42-14.
