With the win on Saturday, the Georgia Bulldogs capped off a decade of wins over the Kentucky Wildcats, as the win streak now stretches from 2010-2019.

However, the Bulldogs had to fight for this win a little bit harder than most fans would've liked to see.

Both teams failed to get any offensive traction going as the halftime score was 0-0. Once Georgia found the beauty of the outside runs, they ran away with it, and put up three touchdowns in the second half.

Today, our site experts give their "Damn Good Dawgs" from this week.

Hunter Gosseck: Defense

My DGD for this week is by committee. as opposed to one particular player. The Georgia Bulldogs' defense simply hasn’t gotten enough credit this season. Maybe it’s because it is in the shadows of a sputtering offense, that has much been the talk of most fans and media. Myself included.

But when you sit down and look and really dive in, you see an elite, dominant defense with championship caliber depth. Anchored by players like J.R. Reed, Richard LeCounte III, and Azeez Ojulari this defense is one of the most talented and productive in the country. Take a look at these numbers when compared to the rest of the SEC.

PPG: 10.6 (1)

Total YPG: 266 (1)

Rushing YPG: 85 (1)

Passing YPG: 181 {2)

3 Down Conversion: 30% (2)

4 Down Conversion: 27% (2)

Red Zone Conversion: 58% (2)

TD Conversion: 25% (1)

Sacks: 16 (9)

TFL: 39 (10)

Numbers don’t lie. Georgia’s defense is elite, and may be the biggest reason for Georgia’s success this far. This defense is stingy, and has been hard to score on and I look for this to continue. The defense is chalk full of DGD’s, and it’s hard to pick just one. I'll take the lazy way out, and say that UGA’s defense is this weeks DGD.

Jordan Jackson: (ILB) Nakobe Dean

My Dam Good Dawg in the win against Kentucky is linebacker Nakobe Dean. The freshman five-star recruit out of Horn Lake, Mississippi saw his first extended action in a big game for the Georgia Bulldogs. Dean was a force against the Kentucky running game, tying for the team lead in tackles with six. He also forced a fumble, but unfortunately, the Bulldogs' were unable to capitalize with a recovery. Nakobe Dean more than doubled his season tackle total in the win over the Wildcats. This is just a first of many impact games for the freshman, who has the talent to be the best UGA inside linebacker since Roquan Smith.

Jamey Goodman: (RB) D'Andre Swift

Saturday was not a fashion show by any means. With nothing but rain coming down on Dooley Field, we managed to find a bright ray of sunshine named D'Andre Swift. Swift put the entire offense on his back when we found it nearly impossible to muster up any offensive production. He lit up the box score with 179 yards and 2 touchdowns on 21 carries, providing more than enough firepower to walk away victorious. For that performance,  D'Andre Swift is my DGD of the week!

Brent Wilson: (WR) Kearis Jackson

While he didn't record any meaningful stats, Kearis Jackson showed his blocking skills are just another piece to his game, exciting players and coaches to have him back on the field. In fact, Jackson put on a key block that opened the way for Swift's 37-yard touchdown run to open up the game. Jackson is slowly but surely showing the fans why they should want him on the field. Expect for Jackson to up his production in receiving as he gets his legs back up to speed, too.
