Updated Heisman Odds Heading into 2023 Season

With the 2023 college football season right around the corner. What do the Heisman Trophy odds look like?

In a few weeks, the 2023 college football season will commence, and all of the questions that have been asked all off-season will begin to be answered. One of the most asked questions every season (aside from which team will win it all) is which player will take home the coveted Heisman Memorial Trophy.

For the past two seasons, the award has gone to a quarterback as Caleb Williams and Bryce Young have decimated offenses and put up major numbers. Unsurprisingly Williams, the most recent recipient is currently the odds-on favorite while North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye is close behind.

Last year, the Georgia Bulldogs saw quarterback Stetson Bennett earn a trip to New York as the team's first Heisman Finalist in nearly 30 seasons. But can the Dawgs' next signal-caller repeat "The Mailman's" success and possibly even take home the trophy in 2023? According to Vegas odds, it is unlikely as there is not a Georgia player currently in the top ten with the highest-ranked odds to win.

2023 Heisman Trophy Odds (Per SISportsbook)

  1. Caleb Williams (+400)
  2. Drake Maye (+900)
  3. Bo Nix (+1100)
  4. Jordan Travis (+1100)
  5. Jayden Daniels (+1100)
  6. Michael Penix Jr. (+1100)
  7. Quinn Ewers (+1200)
  8. Sam Hartman (+1300)
  9. Cade Klubnik (+1600)
  10. J.J. McCarthy (+1600)
  11. Drew Allar (+1700)
  12. Joe Milton (+1700)
  13. Marvin Harrison Jr. (+1700)
  14. Kyle McCord (+1700)
  15. Carson Beck (+2000)
  16. Brock Vandagriff (+2500)

Beck and Vandagriff's low odds are likely a result of the fact that Kirby Smart and the University of Georgia claim that there is still an unsettled quarterback battle taking place. Brock Bowers, another player who has received some slight Heisman buzz as of late was also left off this list likely for the reason that a tight end has not won the award since 1949.

Bowers and the rest of the Bulldogs will begin their 2023 season when Georgia hosts the UT-Martin Skyhawks on September 2, at 6 p.m. Odds for this matchup have not been provided yet.
