Just three years ago, the 11-ranked Vols rolled into Sanford Stadium to take on #25 Georgia, and they left with one of the most exciting wins in the history of their program. With just 10 seconds to play, Jacob Eason connected with Riley Ridley to give the Dawgs a 31-28 lead.

After penalties, a short kickoff, and a good return, the Vols were set up with great field position: Georgia’s 43-yard-line. Josh Dobbs’s prayer fell into the hands of Jauan Jennings, and the Vols celebrated their 34-31 victory between the hedges.

Since then, things have changed, a lot. In 2017, Georgia went up to Knoxville and left a mark with a 41-0 win. Last year, Tennessee came to Athens and the Dawgs once again handled business... a 38-12 victory. On Saturday, Georgia is yet again expected to win big as they are currently a 24.5 point favorite.

This year is shaping up to be no different than the last two years. Georgia looks as solid as ever, and Tennessee is struggling. In one of the biggest upsets in college football history, Georgia State knocked off the Vols in Knoxville to start the season. The following week, Tennessee was once again upset at home – this time by BYU. Following a win over Chattanooga, the Vols went down to Gainesville and dropped to 1-3 after their loss to Florida.

The Dawgs look to remain undefeated while the Vols attempt to get their season and program for that matter, back on track.
