Who Could Be the Next Commitment for Georgia?

In this story:

Another day and another commitment for the Georgia football program. Defensive lineman Joseph Jonah-Ajonye committed to the Bulldogs earlier this week on Thursday, and now offensive lineman Nyier Daniels has joined the list as well. So as the commitments keep rolling in for Georgia in the month of July, who could be the next one to come off the board here soon?

The next prospect that is scheduled to come off of the board is offensive lineman Marques Easley. He is set to make his decision public on July 8th. Oddly enough, the four-star prospect released a list of his top three schools in June, and Georgia was not included in the picture as Oklahoma, Alabama, and Tennessee were the three that made the cut. Despite that, Georgia still appears to remain in a good position to add Easley to the class, so don't cross off the Bulldogs just yet.

A couple of other names to pay close attention to are linebacker Kris Jones and wide receiver Mike Matthews. Jones is looking to wrap up his recruitment here in the near future, and as things sit right now, Georgia is the team to beat. As for Matthews, he doesn't have an official announcement date set, but there is the potential that he could pop at any moment. The five-star Georgia native's recruitment looks to be coming down to a few schools, and the Bulldogs are in the mix.

Offensive lineman Casey Poe is another player that will be wrapping up his recruitment in the month of July as he is set to come off the board on the 12th. Georgia already has five offensive linemen committed to this year's class with the addition of Daniels, and there is some potential that Poe might join the list. Georgia doesn't appear to be the leader to land the four-star out of Texas, but if there is one thing that Stacy Searels has proved this year, it's that you can't ever count out the Dawgs.

As it sits right now, Georgia currently has 25 players committed to their 2024 class which indicates that they are closing in on wrapping up this year's cycle in the early part of July. Even with that being said though, there are still some big-time names that remain on the board that Georgia is still trying to reel in and add to their list.
