It's been an impressive recruiting cycle for the Georgia Bulldogs so far. The class is currently ranked 6th in the country per 247sports, with only 16 commits. That leaves plenty of room to tack on more talent.

Bulldog fans have a lot of five-stars on their minds right now. Darnell Washington, Kelee Ringo, Noah Sewell, and Zachary Evans are all in play just to name a few. Grabbing a commitment from any of these guys would be a huge win for Kirby Smart and the rest of the staff.

But, the biggest potential addition at this point in the cycle would come from Jordan Burch, the five-star defensive end, and the second-ranked player in the nation, from Columbia, South Carolina.

Georgia's defense has thrived with talent in the linebacker core. However, Georgia's defensive line has shown huge improvement in 2019, becoming another threat for the Bulldogs. In fact, Georgia is the only team in the country that has yet to give up a rushing touchdown, and a lot of that has to do with the defensive line.

The majority of the production has come from upperclassmen, Tyler Clark, Devonte Wyatt, Michael Barnett, and Malik Herring. With the way they've been playing, there are going to be some big shoes left to fill whether they leave after 2019 or 2020.

But then you have guys who are already a huge part of the core in Jordan Davis and Travon Walker that will be a part of Georgia's short-term future indefinitely. With the linebacker core already loaded, Georgia's going to need to add some "ready now" defensive line talent in the 2020 recruiting class.

Georgia's biggest defensive line commitment as of now comes from Jalen Carter, who is rated as the 6th best defensive tackle in the country. The only way to top that is to pair him with the #2 overall player in the country in Jordan Burch.

Burch is listed at 6'6 255 lbs, and as quick as he moves at that size, he should have no problem tacking on even more mass at the college level. The agility and power you see from him make a complete unit to deal with as an offensive lineman.

The other half a Burch is the professionalism you can see in the way he carries himself. He leads his team out of the locker room, and he hustles on and off the field, he pursues the football relentlessly. Playing as though he still has something to prove. On top of that, he plays on both sides of the ball. So, it's dumping the quarterback into the ground or bulldozing into the endzone for a touchdown.

Burch fits the bill as an elite defensive end from both the athletic and mental aspects of the game. He's a guy that you will do anything and everything to have on your roster if you're a college coach.

Right now, just about every coach in the country is doing what they can for his services. Thankfully for the Bulldog faithful, Kirby Smart is one of those coaches, and he has a legit chance to land him.

Burch has been very quiet about his recruitment, and no one truly seems to know where each school stands. However, it's been deemed that Clemson seems to be the leader at the time with schools like Georgia, Alabama, LSU, and South Carolina not far behind.

Burch is the "must get" for Georgia in this class, as he could potentially have the chance to start right away for the Bulldogs. However, it will be tough to fight off recent defensive line successes from Alabama and Clemson.

If Georgia can get an official visit from Burch later in the season, it will be tough to count out Kirby Smart here.
