David Daniel is a junior at Woodstock High School where he has played both strong safety and wide receiver. He will play safety in Athens.

Daniel is the type of player that will fit in perfectly with the approach of Kirby Smart and defensive coordinator Dan Lanning, where creating "Havoc" plays (sacks, turnovers, scores, TFL's, etc) are the primary objective of the defense.

Well, Daniel displayed the ability to not only intercept the ball, or pick up a fumble, once he's got the ball, he's most likely going to score.

Exceptional length at 6'2, 185 pounds, he's a sure tackler in the open field. And most notably, he's shown the willingness to not only play special teams but play them really hard. His film is littered with highlight plays from punt coverage, which is important for young skill players at Georgia.

Or even big skill players, like Travon Walker the 5-star, 6'5, 290-pound defensive lineman that covers kickoffs for UGA.
