Georgia Commit ‘20 Kendall Milton (RB) Highlights and Evaluation

MattySolo

Class of 2020 5-star running back Kendall Milton, (Fresno, CA) will be running the ball for Kirby Smart and the rumbling bulldog offense. This 6’2-220 pound tank has the build of a linebacker, to compliment his 4.55 speed. He’s just as hard to bring down as he is to get a hand on.

A drive through Fresno tends to elicit feelings of old-town America, with its subtle mix of industrialization, yet it still has its rural charm. You would never guess that (according to Wikipedia) over 45 NFL players were raised in that one middle-of-nowhere city.

And it certainly appears as if Milton is on the same track. Already with NFL size in high school, he carries his weight with control and elusiveness. Milton is a gifted athlete, with his own distinguishing traits he uses to his advantage on the field.

Let’s take a look at how he earned his 5-stars

Strengths

Vision - He’s got the type of vision coaches dream about. Running back vision is different from most other positions, here’s why. Since you’re being tackled and absorbing more blows than just about anybody else on the field, you’re forced to always be looking where that next potential tackler is coming from. Normal humans look playing running back just try not to get clobbered. Good running backs run to daylight.

Great running backs run to the endzone, anticipating where that 3rd, or 4th potential tackler will come from. That’s what Milton does.

Cutting - He’s got some impressive jump cutting ability. He doesn’t spend too much time moving laterally either. (Also has a 35.8 inch vert)

Power - He’s a tall running back that runs behind his pads. So many tacklers bounced off his chest in his film... it just looked like a wave of bodies that he was running over.

Milton is the 5th 5-star running back for the bulldogs in the past 3 classes. Here’s a closer look at Georgia’s entire running back situation.
