Marcus Burke Commits to Florida

4-Star Sunshine State wide receiver Marcus Burke has announced his verbal commitment to play for the University of Florida.

High coveted 4-Star wide receiver Marcus Burke has committed to the University of Florida. Burke, teammate of 2023 Georgia commit Treyaun Webb at Trinity Christian Academy, is a prospect that Georgia had invested heavily in.

Marcus Burke is a skilled receiver with a lengthy, athletic frame. At 6'3" 180 pounds, Burke is already well-sized to be a big time receiver and being in a college program will only accelerate his adding of strength and muscle. The Jacksonville, Florida native is extremely sure handed and a good route runner as well.

Things have been narrowed down to Georgia and Florida for a while now with the 4-Star receiver from Trinity Christian Academy. Coach Cortez Hankton and the Georgia staff kept close contact throughout the recruitment and being an in-state guy for the Gators, Florida was always heavily involved.

Despite today's decision, sources have told Dawgs Daily on SI.com that Burke fully intends to take three official visits. Georgia, Florida, and a Big Ten school that we will leave unnamed all are in line for chances to host Burke once the restrictions on on-campus recruiting are lifted. It cannot be overstated how crucial visits are to the recruiting process. Georgia specially hangs their hat on their visits and the family feel and welcoming environment the staff and the massive recruiting machine has been able to create on vital officials for major prospects over the past four years.

For now, Burke is a committed. However, there is still work to be done here before signing day.
