No. 1 Player In England Offered By Georgia

Emmanual Okoye, the No. 1 player in England was recently offered by Kirby Smart and his Georgia staff. Learn some more about the EDGE from England here.

Emmanual Okoye is a name Georgia fans should come to learn about. The 2024 Edge recruit from the NFL Academy stands at 6' 5" and weighs about 230 lbs. Listed as a 4-star on 247 Sports, they also have him as the 16th best edge recruit for the Class of 2024.

The quickly upcoming 2024 recruit is an athletic freak, posting his 45.5" vertical jump on his Twitter, @_skywalker10. On top of his ability to jump, Okoye lists in his Twitter bio that he has a 7' 2" wingspan. With a wingspan almost a foot taller than himself, Okoye is sure to be able to extend tight ends and offensive tackles in a pass rush and reach a scrambling quarterback escaping the pocket.

He most certainly fits the new mold of height and length that Georgia has sought after in their last several classes with the help of OLB coach Chidera Uzo-Diribe.

With those impressive measurables, the athletic freak from England has earned himself offers from schools such as Georgia, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Colorado, and Nebraska. Josh Heupel and his coaching staff at the University of Tennessee is a quick up-and-coming program. After a breakout season in 2022 that opened the eyes of talent like 5-star QB and No. 1 player in Calif. for 2023, Nico Iamaleaya, Heupel looks to steal a diamond-in-the-rough recruit in Okoye.

Lane Kiffin and his Ole Miss Rebels coaching staff are another program trying to get after the edge-rusher. Kiffin has shown his ability to relate to recruits and tap into his youth. Listening to the same music as his players, wearing the same shoes, and driving his recruits around in Bentley, Kiffin has a way of making them feel like family.

Coach Prime and his new team, the Colorado Buffaloes, are another rising program that can't seem to stop gaining commits from big-time recruits. Since he took over, he has brought in transfers like his son and QB at Jackson State, Shedeaur Sanders, ATH, and former No. 1 player for the class of 2021, Travis Hunter. Also, signing the No. 1 CB for the class of 2023, Cormani McClain, Okoye may be interested in what all coach Prime has to offer.

The University of Nebraska Cornhuskers seeks a new era of glory under new HC Matt Rhule. Rhule has the experience to turn a program around, which he showed at Baylor during his tenure there. The Carolina Panthers took a chance on Rhule, hoping he could do the same with their franchise, where unfortunately, he was let go five games into his third season with the team. Although Rhule's tenure as an NFL head coach was short-lived, the connections are there for Nebraska to have many players on NFL scout's radars, including recent UGA transfers like TE Arik Gilbert.

As far as Kirby and his Georgia Bulldogs, what they have that other programs don't are the development of players and a championship mentality. In the 2022 NFL draft, the Dawgs set an NFL record by having five defensive players drafted in the first round. As well as back-to-back championship seasons, that could be a true eye-opener for the phenom from England.
