Georgia Tech Basketball Weekly Recruiting Update: 6/12

In this story:
While most of Georgia Tech's roster for the upcoming season, that is not stopping Yellow Jackets head coach Damon Stoudamire from trying to add talent to the roster.
While football recruiting might take the spotlight in the month of June, don't forget that college basketball has an evaluation period coming up.
Let's recap the week that was in Georgia Tech basketball recruiting.
1. 2023 prospect Ibrahim Sacko lists Georgia Tech among his final four schools.
The best prospect that’s still available in Canada has narrowed down his top 4 final schools to BYU, Oregon, Georgia Tech & Xavier via his Instagram.

Sacko is a winning lottery ticket if I’ve ever seen one. Can impact these programs immediately with his skill & athleticism. pic.twitter.com/SW6qREW380
Sacko is a 6''6 wing player that has a 7'1 wingspan. He is an intriguing athlete that brings a high upside to whichever program he lands at. Stoudamire can try and sell him on the fact that he has helped develop NBA players while with the Boston Celtics and that could be a big thing in Georgia Tech's favor. He is also a solid rebounder.
He has four years of eligibility left and has a chance to possibly make an impact for the Yellow Jackets last season. Stoudamire has remade this roster with transfers like Kowacie Reeves, Amaree Abram, Ebenezer Dowuona, Tyzhaun Claude, Tafara Gapare, and Jalen Forrest and they got a big boost with last year's leading scorer Miles Kelly deciding to come back to Atlanta for another season.
Georgia Tech has one 2023 prospect in the class and that is four-star forward Baye Ndongo (Putnam, CT).
2. Former Georgia Tech center Rodney Howard commits to Western Kentucky

Howard entered the transfer portal back in April.
After transferring from Georgia after the 2019-2020 season, Howard played some during his first season in Atlanta on the ACC Tournament title team before his role grew bigger the next season.
Howard averaged 6.5 PPG and 5.1 RPG, as well as 1.5 APG during the 2021-2022 season. He was projected to be one of the main pieces on this past year's team, but Ja'von Franklin had a huge breakout season and Howard's role quickly diminished for the Yellow Jackets. He averaged 4. 5 PPG and 4.3 RPG last year in 24 games played.
