Georgia Tech Committ Danielle Carnegie Hits 2,000 Career Points

Yellow Jackets Commit Danielle Carnegie passes another milestone

Danielle Carnegie continues her impressive senior season for the Grayson Rams and surpassed 2,000 points last night against South Gwinnett. Her skill set is very impressive on both ends of the floor and she will be a Yellow Jacket next season.

According to ESPN HoopGurlz Rankings, Carnegie is the No.48 overall player in the country and is ranked a four-star. Defensively, she has great ball pressure and is good at forcing deflections and getting steals for her team.

Carnegie is leading the Grayson Rams, who is the No.1 ranked team in the Peach State. The Rams are ranked as high as the No.9 team in the country according to MaxPreps. They have a number of notable wins on their schedule including Carrollton, Wesleyan, Norcross, and McEachern. All of these teams are ranked in polls throughout the state in high school basketball.

In her career, Carnegie also has 900+ career rebounds and 600+ career assists. She can at will. Her great ball-handling ability allows her to create space for her jump shot and she at an efficient clip. Carnegie is also a great playmaker. A lot of times she can draw double-teams but she is able to find the open man for an easy score. She has a bunch of games eclipsing more than 10 assists in a game.

She also accomplished another rare feat in the sport of basketball. Carnegie posted a quadruple-double this season tallying 21 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists, and 10 steals against rival Archer. Yes, you heard that right.

You may be asking what can she do against elite competition? Carnegie went up against one of the top teams in the country in IMG Academy in the MLK Day Classic back in January. She dropped 30 points in the game and led her team to victory. Before the game, IMG was ranked as the No.4 team nationally before falling to the Rams.

Carnegie is an elite prospect and one of the best guards in the country. I think she will be an instant contributor to the Yellow Jackets and will be a valuable piece to the program.
