2024 Wide Receiver Ricky Johnson Talks Georgia Tech

Johnson is one of the top targets at receiver for the Yellow Jackets

Georgia Tech is working to add to its 2024 recruiting class and one of their targets at wide receiver is Houston County's (GA) Ricky Johnson. He holds offers from schools like Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Vanderbilt, Stanford, UCF, Pitt, Minnesota, and Memphis, among others. GT is one of the schools recruiting him the hardest and Johnson got a chance to talk all things Georgia Tech with FanNation's director of recruiting Brooks Austin.

Johnson said that his top school right now would be Georgia Tech.

"Georgia Tech, they're No. 1 right now, they contact me a lot, I got a lot of coaches that hit me up. They tell me that they not only want me, but they need me in their offense and that they are trying to build something great."

As far as who is recruiting him the hardest in terms of the coaches on the Yellow Jackets staff and what those conversations are like, here is what Johnson had to say:

"Mainly Coach (Josh) Crawford, Coach (Kenyatta) Watson. It is like we're friends, they really work to build conversation. They took me out to eat, I went on a visit, we set up an OV. I talked to the head coach and they treat me like family, like it's home."

Two other schools that Johnson mentioned as being among his top options are Standford and Pitt.

The 2024 class for Georgia Tech currently ranks 39th on 247Sports, which is 10th in the ACC.
