Quez Jackson, William Lay III, Tre Swilling & Tariq Carpenter spoke to the media following practice.

Following the practice yesterday and ahead of their road matchup against the Virginia Cavaliers, linebacker Quez Jackson, center William Lay III, cornerback Tre Swilling & safety Tariq Carpenter spoke to the media.

Quez Jackson:

Quez Jackson talked about his performance vs. Pitt, as well as his transition to weak side linebacker over the last 3 weeks.

William Lay III:

William Lay III discussed the similarities between Pitt's defensive front and Virginia's as well as his recent selection as a nominee for the Burlsworth Trophy.

Tre Swilling:

Tre Swilling discussed the transition from being a zone coverage cornerback to a man coverage one, as well as the technique adjustments he had to make. He also discussed the preparation he undergoes for each opponent on a week to week basis.

Tariq Carpenter:

Tariq Carpenter talked about his interception in the Pitt game, the recent emphasis on turnovers in practice, and what it takes to create more opportunities for them in the future.
