Drew Timme off to good start with Milwaukee Bucks’ G League team

Timme scored 15 points in his pro debut

He’s not in the NBA, but former Gonzaga men's basketball star Drew Timme is having success in pro basketball.

Two games into his tenure with the Wisconsin Herd - the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks - Timme is putting up strong numbers. In the Herd’s season opener last week, Timme started and had 15 points and 5 rebounds in 18 minutes. He was 6-of-10 from the field and missed his only 3-point attempt.

In the Herd’s second game on Sunday, Timme came off the bench and racked up a very efficient 13 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. He played 24 minutes and was 5-of-7 from the field. 

The Herd lost both games, but no one is paying attention to the final score in the G League. The Herd's next game is Thursday vs. Iowa at 4 p.m. You can watch the game on ESPN+.
