Drew Timme update: Former Gonzaga star playing in NBA G League

Timme is averaging 10.4 points for the Wisconsin Herd

After a hot start, former Gonzaga men's basketball star Drew Timme has cooled off for the Milwaukee Bucks' G League team.

Timme has played in five of six games for the Wisconsin Herd (3-3) and is averaging 10.4 points and 5 rebounds in just over 19 minutes per game.

Timme started in his debut for the Wisconsin Herd on Nov. 10 and put up strong numbers - 15 points and 5 rebounds in 18 minutes. He came off the bench in his second game and racked up 13 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists in 24 minutes.

In his third game, Timme struggled. He scored 4 points on 2-of-10 shooting and grabbed 5 rebounds in 22 minutes. Timme rebounded with 14 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocks in 21 minutes on Nov. 18.

Timme did not play in Wisconsin's game on Nov. 19 and he played just 9 minutes in their game on Nov. 21, scoring 4 points.

Timme was waived by the Bucks during training camp, and earned a spot on the Herd's roster under an Exhibit 10 contract. The Herd are currently competing in the G League Showcase Cup as all 31 teams compete in a single-elimination tournament. The official 34-game regular season tips off Dec. 27.
