After a much-needed holiday break, the No. 13 Gonzaga Bulldogs are back in Spokane for a highly-anticipated matchup against San Diego State.

The Zags (9-3) enter Friday's game after a 100-76 win over Jackson State on Dec. 20. Graham Ike led the way with 22 points in 17 minutes of action, while Nolan Hickman added 18 points. Gonzaga stuffed the stat sheet against the Tigers (4-8), shooting 52% from the floor and scoring 50 points in the paint.

Coming off a runner-up finish in last season's NCAA Championship game, the Aztecs (10-2) bring back four impactful players from that squad, led by 6-foot-9 post Jaedon LeDee. The fifth-year senior leads the team with 21.6 points and 9.4 rebounds per game while shooting 57.2% from the field. Lamont Butler, who sank the buzzer-beater in the Final Four to beat Florida Atlantic, is back for his senior season and is averaging 8.3 points and 3.7 assists.

The nonconference showdown will likely have NCAA Tournament implications for both teams. Gonzaga and San Diego State are a combined 0-5 in Quad 1 games.
