After winning the last four matchups against the Waves, Saint Mary's is now 77-74 all-time in the series, but this will be the two teams' first meeting of the season.

Saint Mary's (20-6, 11-0 WCC) has won 12 straight games and is now tied with No. 1 UConn for the longest winning streak in the nation.
After starting the season 3-5, the Gaels have won 17 of their last 18 games, which skyrocketed them to No. 18 (AP Top 25) and No. 19 (Coaches Poll) in this week's national rankings.
It is the first time Saint Mary's has been nationally ranked since the preseason.
Led by Aidan Mahaney's 14.0 ppg, the Gaels have four players averaging double figures, and are currently the second-best defensive team in the nation allowing just 57.7 ppg.
Pepperdine (10-16, 3-8 WCC) has only won three conference games, but the Waves are coming off a 72-63 upset over LMU on Saturday that saw five players finish in double figures.
Teams have struggled to score against Saint Mary's this season, but the Waves may be able to break through the Gaels' stingy defense with the help of Michael Ajayi (17.2 ppg) and Houston Mallette (15.8 ppg), who are two of the top three scorers in the WCC.
Ajayi recorded his 14th double-double of the season in Saturday's win against LMU and is now tied for sixth all-time on Pepperdine's single-season double-double leaderboard.
