Saint Mary's (11-6, 2-0 WCC) returns home this week after a successful road trip saw the Gaels pick up back-to-back wins against San Diego and LMU to begin conference play last week.
Sophomore Aidan Mahaney tied his career-high of 25 points in the 81-70 win at San Diego, while junior Augustas Marciulionis led the way with a game-high 22 points in the 68-64 victory against LMU.
That duo has shouldered the load offensively for the Gaels this season, combining to average 35 points per game through Saint Mary's first 17 games.
Defensively, Saint Mary's is the best team in the conference, allowing just under 60 points per game.
Portland (7-9, 1-0 WCC) has struggled with consistency this season, but the Pilots picked up the win in their WCC opener against Pacific last week.
Tyler Robertson turned in a complete performance in the 78-64 victory against the Tigers, finishing with a game-high 19 points to go along with nine rebounds, eight assists and three steals.
He is averaging the second-most points in the WCC with 16.5 ppg this season.
Sophomore forward Yuto Yamanouchi-Williams made his Pilot debut against Pacific and notched a double-double in his first-ever game with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
