Former Hoosier Juwan Morgan signs deal with Utah Jazz

Juwan Morgan didn't post many numbers with the Utah Jazz during the NBA Summer League, but he did enough to get signed to a contract last week. Now he can take it from there.
The 6-foot-8 Morgan, a fan favorite during his four years in Bloomington, wasn't drafted in June but was quickly signed to the Jazz’s summer league team. He played six games during the summer, but didn't do much on the offensive end, scoring just seven points.

But it was Morgan’s defense and his ability to guard multiple positions that impressed Utah coach Quin Snyder. Guarding pick and rolls and being able to switch positions is critical these days, and that bodes well for Morgan.
Exhibit 10 contracts are something new to the NBA since most teams now have their own ,minor-league feeder system with the G-League. Morgan will go to came with the Jazz, but if he doesn't make their 15-man roster, he can be placed on their G-League team, the Salt Lake City Stars.
