Offensive Lineman Evan Parker Commits To Indiana Football

Indiana football landed its second verbal commitment in the class of 2025 on Monday, when offensive lineman Evan Parker from Carmel High School announced he's staying in his home state.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana has two commitments in the class of 2025 so far, and they're both offensive linemen.

Evan Parker announced his commitment to Indiana Monday afternoon, joining fellow offensive lineman Matt Marek in the Hoosiers' 2025 recruiting class.

Parker is a 6-foot-4, 295-pound offensive lineman from Carmel High School in Indiana. He was a team captain and made the Junior All-State team following the 2023 season.

Parker is considered a three-star recruit by the 247Sports Composite rankings, which slots him No. 741 in the nation, No. 59 among interior offensive linemen and No. 12 among 2025 recruits from the state of Indiana.

Parker's commitment comes shortly after visiting Bloomington for Indiana's Junior Day on Jan. 27. He picked Indiana over offers from Akron, Austin Peay, Ball State, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Colorado State, Illinois State, Kent State, Miami (Ohio), Toledo and Western Michigan.

Parker also received interest from schools like Notre Dame, Penn State, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Purdue, West Virginia and Cincinnati. Indiana previously offered Parker under former head coach Tom Allen, and new head coach Curt Cignetti's staff re-offered Parker on Jan. 17. Though Cignetti brought in a mostly new coaching staff, he retained offensive line coach Bob Bostad, who Allen hired prior to the 2023 season.

The Hoosiers lost starting center Zach Carpenter (Miami), right guard Matthew Bedford (Oregon) and right tackle Kahlil Benson (Colorado) from last season, but they return starting left guard Mike Katic and left tackle Carter Smith.

Indiana also landed transfer offensive linemen Tyler Stephens (James Madison), Nick Kidwell (James Madison) and Trey Wedig (Wisconsin). In the 2024 recruiting class, Indiana brings in offensive linemen Adedamola Ajani, Evan Lawrence, Austin Leibfried and Mitch Verstegen.
