Good news continued rolling in for the Iowa women's basketball program. The Hawkeyes found out about a very important addition Tuesday.

California guard Addie Deal, one of the top players in the 2025 recruiting class, announced her verbal commitment. At No. 12 in HoopGurlz national rankings, she became the highest-rated Iowa recruit since Caitlin Clark (No. 4, '20).

The Hawkeyes won their third Big Ten Tournament Championship in a row on Sunday. Clark, the likely No. 1 pick in next month's WNBA Draft, won MVP honors for a third year in a row.

Deal visited Carver-Hawkeye Arena for Iowa's final regular-season game on March 3rd. She watched Clark pass Pete Maravich for the top spot on the NCAA's all-time scoring list.

If you watch Deal's video highlights, you see she share traits with Clark. She's a slick passer with deep-shooting range.

The Santa Ana Mater Dei junior also reported scholarship offers from LSU, Ohio State, Indiana, USC, UCLA and others. She visited national champion LSU in October.
