Iowa sophomore guard Joe Wieskamp was one of 10 players selected to the Big Ten preseason all-conference team.

Wieskamp averaged 11.1 points per game last season, scoring in double figures 19 times. He started all 35 games last season and was a member of the Big Ten's all-freshman team.

Wieskamp was second in the Big Ten in 3-point percentage. He averaged 4.9 rebounds per game.

Michigan State's Cassius Winston was named the conference's preseason player of the year.

Other members of the team were Maryland senior guard Anthony Cowan Jr., Ohio State junior forward Kaleb Wesson, Illinois sophomore guard Ayo Dosunmu, Maryland sophomore forward Jalen Smith, Michigan senior guard Zavier Simpson, Michigan State junior forward Xavier Tillman, Penn State senior forward Lamar Stevens and Purdue junior guard Nojel Eastern.

Winston and Stevens were first-team All-Big Ten picks last season. Cowan and Simpson were second-team selections while Dosunmu and Wesson were on the honorable mention-list. Dosunmu, Smith and Wieskamp were all-freshman honorees, Eastern and Simpson were on the all-defensive team.
