Brandon Smith was Iowa's leading receiver in Saturday's 26-20 win over Purdue.

But the junior wide receiver, injured late in the game, appears to be out for this week's game at Northwestern.

Smith was not on the depth chart released Monday morning. Tyrone Tracy Jr., who had three catches for 28 yards in Saturday's game, replaces him at No. 1 at one of the two receiver spots, with Calvin Lockett moving into the No. 2 spot.

Smith leads the Hawkeyes with 33 receptions this season. His 407 receiving yards are second-most on the team.

Dillon Doyle, who started for Kristian Welch at middle linebacker on Saturday, remains No. 1 at that spot, with Jack Campbell as backup.

Riley Moss and Matt Hankins are listed as co-No. 1s at cornerback. D.J. Johnson moves from No. 2 at left corner to No. 2 at right corner.

TV notes

Saturday's game at Northwestern will have an 11 a.m. kickoff and will be telecast on ESPN2. Roy Philpott will do play-by-play. Kelly Stouffer will be the analyst, and Lauren Sisler will be the sideline reporter.

Players of the week

Purdue wide receiver David Bell, who had 13 catches for 197 yards and a touchdown against the Hawkeyes, was named the Big Ten's freshman of the week.

Penn State wide receiver K.J. Hamler was the offensive player of the week, with 186 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns in the win over Michigan.

Illinois' Jake Hansen was defensive player of the week after forcing two fumbles in the win over Wisconsin.

Minnesota's Casey O'Brien was named the special teams player of the week. O'Brien, a four-time cancer survivor who is a walk-on with the Gophers, was the holder on three second-half extra points in the win over Rutgers.
