Wildcats in the NBA: Where to take Kentucky stars in your 2023-24 fantasy basketball draft

The fantasy sports space is generally dominated by football and baseball, but fantasy basketball remains a growing entity on its own.
With the NBA season just around the corner, those participating will be conducting their drafts in the coming weeks.
The Wildcats are extraordinarily well represented in the NBA, and it wouldn't be hard to make a fantasy team comprised of almost entirely former Kentucky stars.
Below is a look at where to target Kentucky's alumni in your upcoming fantasy basketball draft, using rankings and average draft position data from FantasyPros.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, G, Oklahoma City Thunder
Rank: 3
ADP: 4.3
Anytime you average over 30 points and over 5 assists per game, you're going to be a hot commodity in fantasy basketball. SGA should be an MVP candidate in 2023-24, especially with plenty of young talent around him in Oklahoma City.
Anthony Davis, PF/C, Los Angeles Lakers
Rank: 9
ADP: 11
Injuries will always be part of Davis' story, but his stat-stuffing tendencies make him a great fantasy asset, especially if you have room on your injured list.
Devin Booker, G, Phoenix Suns
Rank: 18
ADP: 15
Booker will get a full season alongside Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal in Phoenix, and his assist numbers could improve with more on-ball responsibility - making him a premier fantasy asset once again.
Karl-Anthony Towns, PF/C, Minnesota Timberwolves
Rank: 19
ADP: 27
As long as he stays healthy, Towns' ability to impact the game as a scorer and a passer makes him very valuable as a fantasy asset.
Bam Adebayo, C, Miami Heat
Rank: 22
ADP: 26
Bam is a consistent 20/10 threat with plus defense and should once again be a key piece for a contending Miami team.
De'Aaron Fox, PG, Sacramento Kings
Rank: 36
ADP: 25
The duo of Fox and Domantas Sabonis was excellent for Sacramento last year, and another year of 25 points and six assists could easily be on the horizon for Fox.
Jamal Murray, PG/SG, Denver Nuggets
Rank: 46
ADP: 37
Murray bounced back from a missed season to average 20 points, 6.2 assists, and four boards last year while leading the Nuggets to a championship.
Julius Randle, PF, New York Knicks
Rank: 49
ADP: 34
Randle averaged 25/10/4 last year with the Knicks and should be in line for similar production in 2023-24 in the Big Apple.
Tyrese Maxey, PG/SG, Philadelphia 76ers
Rank: 56
ADP: 61
Maxey averaged 20 per game last year as a 22-year-old, and could just be scratching the surface of who he can be in the NBA. If Philadelphia moves James Harden, he could really explode.
Tyler Herro, PG/SG, Miami Heat
Rank: 71
ADP: 66
Herro has topped 20 points, 5 boards, and 4 assists in back-to-back seasons and is primed to do so again after remaining in Miami this offseason.
Shaedon Sharpe, SF/SG, Portland Trail Blazers
Rank: 119
ADP: 124
Kentucky fans might skip Sharpe, understandably, but he's primed for a breakout season in Portland following the team's trade of franchise icon Damian Lillard.
Immanuel Quickley, PG/SG, New York Knicks
Rank: 135
ADP: 139
Quickley emerged as a key piece for New York last year and could break out in a big way as a 24-year-old this upcoming season.
Jarred Vanderbilt, PF, Los Angeles Lakers
Rank: 133
ADP: 146
Another season playing big minutes with the Lakers should keep Vanderbilt fantasy relevant at age 25.
P.J Washington, PF, Charlotte Hornets
Rank: 139
ADP: 114
Washington averaged a career-high 15.7 points last year with Charlotte and should be in line for another big year with the Hornets.
The Rest (outside Top 150)
Keldon Johnson - 152
Isaiah Jackson - 191
Malik Monk - 199
Nick Richards - 217
Trey Lyles - 295
Brandon Boston - 366
Kevin Knox - 475
Olivier Sarr - 505
TyTy Washington - 543
