Podcast: Kentucky vs St Joseph's recap, Wildcats escape the Hawks in overtime
Kentucky basketball escaped Rupp Arena with an overtime win against St Joseph's.
On today's episode of Locked On Kentucky, Lance Dawe recaps Kentucky vs St Joseph's. The Hawks gave John Calipari's squad everything they had, but in the end clutch performances from DJ Wagner and Tre Mitchell closed the contest out in OT. Dawe goes through the good - the offense got out in transition and shot the ball really well, of course scoring isn't an issue with these 'Cats - and the bad... like the defensive performance.
Kentucky has better games ahead, and with Wagner, Rob Dillingham, Antonio Reeves and Reed Sheppard playing well, they'll continue to be in every contest. Whether or not they close out all of them will be the question.
Getting experience like this should greatly help the Kentucky Wildcats.
