Watch: Danny Manning, Louisville Players Preview Georgia Tech

The Cardinals return to the KFC Yum! Center and hope to secure ACC win No. 1 for the season against the Yellow Jackets.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Halfway through their 20-game slate of ACC games, the Louisville men's basketball program is still searching for win No. 1 in conference play.

The Cardinals reached arguably a new low point in their 2022-23 campaign last Saturday, getting down by as much as 30 points at lowly Notre Dame before inevitably falling 76-62. Not only is Louisville now on a 10-game losing streak, but they are one loss away from tying the most in program history in a single season.

"It has been a rough year, for all of us," forward J.J. Traynor said. "Nobody wants to be in the situation we're in, but I feel like you can look at it as a learning process. Learn from it, and just continue to get better from going through a hard time. Just to be appreciative of the moment we're in, and still being able to play in front of thousands on TV. It's still a huge blessing that many people don't get to experience."

However, one of their best chances to finally get a win in ACC play is next on the docket. Louisville host Georgia Tech at the KFC Yum! Center on Wednesday night, which is a team that has lost nine of their last ten games and sports just one win in league play this season.

"Georgia Tech displays a lot of different tendencies, offensively and defensively," associate head coach Danny Manning said. "Offensively, they get into their Princeton sets where they have a lot of actions out on the perimeter. ... Defensively, I played against Josh (Pastner)'s teams for quite some time in Conference USA and the ACC. He has a really good mix of changing defenses to try to keep you in a unsettled state, offensively."

Prior to their matchup with the Yellow Jackets, Manning, Traynor and forward Kamari Lands took time to meet with the media. They discussed the previous game at Notre Dame, Emmanuel Okorafor's debut, previewed the upcoming showdown vs. Georgia Tech, and more.
