Louisville Football Picked to Finish Eighth in 2023 ACC Preseason Poll

The Cardinals are heading into year one of the Jeff Brohm era.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Atlantic Coast Conference announced Tuesday that the Louisville football program has been picked to finish eighth in the 2023 conference race, according to a preseason poll of 176 media members across the league.

Clemson was chosen as the favorite to win the ACC title this season, garnering 2,370 points and being chosen as the favorite on 103 of the 176 ballots. Florida State, North Carolina, NC State, Miami round out the top five. The Cardinals secured 1,344 points in the poll,

Last season, Louisville went 7-5 during the regular season, then followed that up with a 24-7 win over rival Cincinnati in the Fenway Bowl. Following the departure of head coach Scott Satterfield to the Bearcats, Jeff Brohm left Purdue to take over his alma mater

Louisville will begin the 2023 season with a conference matchup, traveling down to Atlanta, Ga. for a matchup vs. Georgia Tech in the Aflac Kickoff Game. Kickoff is scheduled for for Friday, Sept. 1 at 7:30 p.m.
