Louisville Makes Top 10 for Elite '25 Safety JaDon Blair

The defensive back from North Carolina is a consensus four-star prospect and ranks inside the top-50 nationally.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville football program has been making some significant headway with several prospects in the Class of 2025, and now they're one step closer to landing one of the top targets on the defensive side of the ball.

Winston-Salem (N.C) Mount Tabor safety JaDon Blair announced his list of top ten schools on Friday, and the Cardinals are still in the running for his commitment. Florida State, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, South Carolina, Virginia tech and Wake Forest also made the cut.

Jeff Brohm identified Blair as a long term target early in his tenure as Louisville's head coach, offering the safety a scholarship last April. Blair also took an unofficial visit to campus late last July.

There's a reason why Brohm and the Cardinals wanted to get in the mix early with Blair. The 6-foot-4, 190-pound defensive back ranks as high as the No. 2 safety in the class and the No. 43 prospect in the cycle, according to On3. A consensus four-star, he comes in as the No. 13 safety and the No. 155 prospect in the Class of 2025 according to the 247Sports Composite.

During his junior campaign for Mount Tabor, Blair made plays all over the field. In 13 games, he logged 57 total tackles, three for loss, four interceptions, a fumble forced and a fumble recovered. He also was utilized in a variety of ways on offense, catching 10 passes for 255 and six touchdowns, and logging one 10-yard rush.

Louisville currently sports a three-man 2025 recruiting class, with Oxford (Ala). HS quarterback Mason Mims, Goshen (Ky.) North Oldham offensive linemen Gradey Anthony and Westerville (Oh.) North offensive lineman Jake Cook in the mix.
