LSU hopped on their flight to Omaha last Wednesday in search of bringing home a National Championship to Baton Rouge. For the first time since 2017, the Tigers claimed a Super Regional and punched their ticket to Omaha.

A program that is clicking on all cylinders, LSU is now one game away from reaching the College World Series Finals with their pitching rotation coming alive as of late. A piece of the puzzle that was destined to doom them, it’s become one of reliability and consistency.

It's been an exciting stretch for the Tigers so far. After defeating Tennessee in their opener on Saturday, it propelled Jay Johnson's squad to the winner's bracket, but after suffering a loss to Wake Forest on Monday, the real fun began.

With their backs against the wall, Nate Ackenhausen saved the Tigers season against Tennessee once again in an elimination game, defeating the Volunteers to keep LSU's College World Series hopes alive.

Ackenhausen was the hero on Tuesday and the Tigers pitching rotation carried their success into Wednesday's showdown once again.

Griffin Herring stepped on the mound for LSU and came up in a big way, lifting the Tigers over Wake Forest to force a Game 2 of the semifinals.

Now, it's a winner-take-all contest in Omaha with LSU and Wake Forest squaring off for the third time in four days on Thursday.

Here's the schedule for Thursday with the winner advancing to face Florida in the College World Series Finals.
