LSU quarterback Joe Burrow has been firmly implanted in the Heisman race ever since his performance at Texas sky-rocketed the senior into the national headlines.

After throwing for 293 yards on 21-of-24 passing and three touchdowns against one of the top-20 defenses in the country over the weekend, Burrow's odds jumped from 3/1 to 15/4. That number still trails Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovialoa, whose odds went to 4/7 to win the award.

Tagovialoa passed for 293 yards, four touchdowns and an interception in the Crimson Tide's win over Texas A&M.

Burrow is now third all time in passing touchdowns in LSU history, trailing only Jamarcus Russell (52) and Tommy Hodson (69) for the most in program history. In addition, his 79.6 % completion percentage is on pace to break the all time record in NCAA history.

Here's how Burrow's stats stack up with the rest of the Heisman frontrunners:

Burrow: 148-186 (79.6%), 2,157 yds, 25 TD, 3 INT, 105 yds rushing, 2 TD

Tua: 134-182 (73.6%), 2,011 yds, 27 TD, 1 INT, 35 yds rushing, 2 TD
