The Buzz: No. 1 Wide Receiver in America Sets Next LSU Visit
LSU reeled in a commitment from the No. 1 wide receiver in America after Dakorien Moore revealed his pledge to Brian Kelly and the Tigers in August.
Now, the Bayou Bengals will have to fend off other elite-level programs until Moore puts pen to paper in December.
As the offseason continues, Moore is navigating a visit schedule with other programs across the country pushing for his signature.
Despite remaining committed to the purple and gold, Moore revealed a final four schools consisting of LSU, Oregon, Texas and Ohio State.
Sources tell LSU Country that Moore is dialed in with LSU, but will remain in touch with the other three schools down the stretch. He has cut off communication with other programs fighting for his services.
The No. 1 wideout in the 2025 class, it'll be a battle for the Tigers as they fight against the Ducks, Longhorns and Buckeyes, but a fight this program understood after he committed to LSU so early in his recruitment process.
Moore will piece together a visit schedule this summer. For the Tigers, Kelly's program had Moore in Baton Rouge two weekends ago for their Junior Day event.
Sources confirmed to LSU Country that Moore has locked in a trio of unofficial visits in the coming weeks with LSU getting a return trip for the Spring Game:
Ohio State: March 18
LSU: April 14
Texas: April 20
Moore was accompanied by Bryce Underwood, the No. 1 overall player in America, and Harlem Berry, the No. 1 running back in the nation during his recent visit on the weekend of March 8.
The trio of five-star, No. 1 prospects at their position headline the top recruiting class in America with Moore looking to be the next great receiver out of The Boot.
Moore's pledge to the Bayou Bengals became the first big splash in the 2025 cycle after revealing in August, but LSU will continue keeping their foot on the gas for the top wide receiver in America before December's Early Signing Period.

Advanced Route Running
Despite Moore only entering his senior year of high school, he’s an exceptional route runner for his age. He’s fluid and has the ability to get vertical in the blink of an eye which carved his way to impressive sophomore and junior campaigns with Duncanville in 2022 and 2023.
Moore showcased his advanced game during camps last summer as well. He’s a maniac in 7-on-7, giving cornerbacks fits at every stop he made. Even when defenders may think he’s covered, Moore’s twitchiness gets him open instantly to make a play.
Changing Gears
LSU added both Caden Durham and Jelani Watkins to its 2024 recruiting class where the pair of speedsters will also run track for the Tigers once on campus. Now, the purple and gold add another track and field standout in Moore.
The five-star wide receiver is exceptional in open space, but his ability to switch gears up and down is what makes him special when going vertical. Off the line, he’s twitchy, and once he’s upping his ears downfield, good luck staying in front of him.
Ball Skills
Moore can pinpoint the ball at its highest point and use physicality to reel in contested catches on a routine basis. A player standing around the 5-foot-11, 6-foot range, he won’t be a player LSU relies on for jump balls, but he’s a guy who can make the tough plays when needed.
He has advanced hands as he enters his senior season and the strength was shown during his junior campaign at Duncanville High (Tex.).
He’s a downfield target who will have significant yards per catch if utilized correctly. Moore can change pace, get open vertically and give the Tigers another elite-level wideout for the future.
