As if the hype around the 2019 LSU football team wasn’t strong enough, Tuesday fuel was added to the fire.

ESPN released its latest College Football Power Index, giving the Tigers the third best odds to make the College Football Playoff at 54 percent. LSU trails only Clemson (83 percent) and Alabama (73 percent) in the the poll while jumping ahead of Georgia.

LSU was given only a six percent chance of winning out the rest of its games and a 19 percent chance of winning the conference. The Tigers are favored in every game this year except against the Crimson Tide on Nov. 9.
