Four-star Hybrid Defensive End Talks Miami And His Recruitment

Four-star Georgia recruit explains his visit plans

Tell me if you have heard this one before Hurricane fans?

Miami is recruiting the Peach State for its next dynamic defensive playmaker and they are working hard on doing so. The Rivals four-star hybrid defensive end/outside linebacker Herbert Scroggins III is hearing from the Miami coaching staff among many others.

The 6-foot-3, 233-pound hails from Savannah (Ga.) Benedictine Military School spoke with AllHurricanes on the latest in his recruitment, visits planned and who may be standing out in his recruitment.

"With everything coming so fast since January with interest and offers, I haven't taken visits yet," said Scroggins III.

Which schools does the Peach State recruit hear from the most?

"Tennessee, Miami, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, South Florida, Auburn, West Virginia and some others."

Miami does have some stiff competition to pull Scroggins III out of Georgia, but the Hurricanes will have the four-star on campus this summer.

"I'll be visiting North Carolina June 7th-9th and Miami on June 21st for an official visit," said Scroggins III.

Scroggins III will also visit Georgia Tech on May 30, and is working to visit West Virginia officially.

The Peach State standout said the schools standing out in his recruitment are these schools right now.

"Auburn, Georgia Tech, Miami, North Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia."

Coach (Jason) Taylor is handling this recruitment for Miami and is one the elite recruiters on staff, but in the country. Miami will have a shot in June to give Herbert Scroggins III the red carpet treatment in South Beach in June.
