Discussing Miami’s coaches, recruiting prospects to The U, and training with Judd Anderson

The Miami Hurricanes have one of the most easy going and down to earth commitments one will ever meet. That’s Judd Anderson.

The Gray (Ga.) Jones County quarterback has an easy going way about him that has made it easy to talk with him about anything relating to his recruitment. With the following video interview, Anderson was certainly happy to talk about several topics.

Before posting the actual video, here were a few of the points he made about Miami’s staff, beginning with Miami offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson.

“Like I’ve preached before, he’s an amazing guy,” Anderson said of Dawson. “You get around him, and you get around the rest of that staff … Just from the jump, when we first started talking. The energy he brought to that place, the enthusiasm, he was just excited to be there (at Miami).

“And excited to work with Tyler (Van Dyke). And I think he’s a family guy. He loves his family. He loves Miami. He loves those guys he gets to coach, and just be around, and he treats them like family.

“So, I think that’s what really made me feel comfortable around him, and I think that’s what’s continued our relationship. It’s just really a family relationship. I mean, it’s like a brotherhood in Miami.”

As for head coach Mario Cristobal, Anderson also had glowing remarks.

“He’s awesome,” Anderson said with a smile. “Such a funny guy. You get around him and he’s always trying to make you laugh. Trying to cut up, but when it’s down to business, it’s down to business.

“He’s texting me almost every day. He’s texting my family almost every day, and just like checking in on us. He sends these quotes and it’s like Michael Jordan quotes or something like that. He’ll try to give us inspiration throughout the day.

“I think I’ve told you before, like the family group chat with all of us in it, and most of the staff. He’s an awesome guy. He’s another guy that’s a family man; he knows what brotherhood looks like. I feel like that’s huge.

“That’s what Miami is now and what Miami is going to be.”

The rest of the interview focused on Anderson and his relationship with other recruits he’s trying to get to the University of Miami, as well as what he’s been doing to get better as a quarterback.

As always, thanks to Anderson for taking time out of his day to chat with All Hurricanes. He’s a great young man and one Miami fans should be proud of.
