One of the fastest rising 2025 recruits in Florida would be Ziyare Addison. The former defensive lineman turned offensive lineman should be considered an athlete first. He can truly move his feet.

Addison’s athleticism caught the attention of Miami offensive line coach Alex Mirabal. He’s made an offer to the talented prospect from Riverview (Fla.) Sumner. Here’s what Addison had to say about the Canes during the Tampa High School Football Media Day, as the 6-foot-5 and 275-pound offensive lineman was happy to be interviewed and discuss the Canes.

“I’m headed to Miami,” Addison said on Friday of his plans for this weekend. “They’ve really been pushing me to get down there. So, I’ve got some time. I’m finally back from all the camps and tours, stuff like that. So I can finally go down and take a visit to Miami.”

As for which Canes coach has been after him, it’s been a combination of UM coaches actually. One in particular had quite a bit to do with Addison getting down to Miami.

“Alex Mirabal, he’s really been pushing me to get down to Miami. He’s been hitting me up every week. I feel a connection with him.”

All of that is good for the Canes, as Addison is already racking up the offers beyond Miami. Programs like UCLA, Penn State, Florida State, Auburn, Oregon, Louisville, West Virginia, UCF, Ole Miss and Boston College represent a growing list of college football opportunities Addison possesses.

While Addison has made the rounds to schools across the South this summer, he’s also been busy hitting up programs in the Sunshine State.

“Florida State, Florida, Miami, and USF. Oh, and UCF.” Addison stated were the Florida schools he’s seen or will see today (Miami).

As for his guidelines to what he wants from a school to make his college choice, Addison added the following.

“I’m really looking for a school where I can get developed, play with a really good quarterback, win a national championship, and get the best education possible.”

As for his major, Addison is quite serious about his academics. Here’s what he said about his future major.

“Somewhere in the medical field.”

As for a timeline and distance from home, Addison is still open and does not plan to rush his decision.

Overall, it’s good that he’s now down at UM and getting to know the Hurricanes coaching staff, players, and other recruits.
